“Be A King” Volunteer Fair
January 14, 2026 | Empire State Plaza, South Concourse | 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
FOCUS Churches of Albany is proud to participate in the New York State Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Volunteer Fair. If you are curious about who we are and how we serve our neighbors, stop by and talk with us. We look forward to meeting you!
Based in downtown Albany, FOCUS brings people together to respond to hunger and basic needs with dignity and care. Our volunteers are essential to creating welcoming spaces through our Breakfast Club and Food Pantry. Volunteers can engage in various tasks, such as serving breakfast, stocking the pantry, or sharing expertise to help in unexpected ways, all crucial to our mission of supporting our neighbors in need. Learn more about how people are volunteering today.
At the Volunteer Fair, learn more about our work, hear real stories from our community, and explore meaningful ways to get involved. Whether you have time, skills, or simply a desire to help, we would love to connect. Can’t make the Volunteer Fair, learn more on our Volunteer page.
The Volunteer Fair is part of the annual King Memorial Observance, honoring Dr. King’s call to serve and strengthen our communities.
