Hot Dog Thursdays Launches for the Summer

Last Wednesday, FOCUS held a trial run of its new Hot Dog Thursdays program outside Westminster Presbyterian Church and the response was encouraging. Volunteers served 62 individuals during the one-hour event, offering free hot dogs, lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and friendly conversation.

Tables were set up on State Street with hot dogs, lemonade, and strawberry lemonade available free of charge.

The program is about more than a meal. It is an opportunity to build community, connect with neighbors, and offer hospitality in the heart of Albany. Based on the success of the first week, FOCUS looks forward to welcoming even more people throughout the summer.

Join us Thursdays from 11:00 am – 12 noon in front of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 262 State Street, weather permitting. Everyone is welcome.
