Greetings! It is a beautiful, brisk day out and I am one joy-filled lady! No matter the circumstances in life, I refuse to let my joy be diffused, abused or confused. I recently have met with some hiccups in life and could have easily succumbed to a depressed state of mind, been angry, twisted in knots of bitterness and regret.
Today, rather than allow unexpected negativity to rob me of my joy, I am reminded that my trials partner me with the suffering of Christ! (1 Pet. 4:13) Even though we may become tainted by the insensitivities of others, Paul says to "count it all joy" for when (not if) we face divers and rudeness, we can shake the dust from our feet and keep running the race that is set before us! Whether it is an 8-10 hour relay-race, a half-day sprint or a 440-yard dash, know that the joy of Christ is waiting for you at the finish line, cheering you on.
On this WINS-day, be willing to release the root of unhappiness and fill it with seeds of joy that you may WIN the race. And, when trouble comes (and it's coming), know that God will provide the increase that leads to a fountain of overflow. But, when you are steeped in unhappiness, find someone who is operating in overflow to refill your barren cup. We need each other, and rather than gloat in the success or failure of others to reach their finish line, reap from the joy of the race they're in, so that in time, you can experience a harvest of overflow (God's increase) to finish your race!
