Over 40,000 people each month rely on food pantries in the Capital Region. Families may visit the FOCUS Interfaith Food Pantry twice each month. In addition to a balanced and nutritious food package, the pantry provides personal care items, fresh fruit, vegetables, and milk vouchers.
The pantry also helps households by supplying information about additional community resources such as job training, housing, healthcare, food stamps, WIC, and nutrition education. Guests are also provided with advocacy and referral services.

*Verification of Identity, Address and Household Size is updated every 3 months, or upon request.
The FOCUS Food Pantry serves a specific area of Albany (Capitol Hill, Center Square, Hudson, Washington and Park South neighborhoods, and beyond). Any guest coming from outside of our service area will be referred to the appropriate Food Pantry. There are no exceptions to this rule, unless you are referred by another food pantry for emergency assistance.
All guests will be required to bring in proof of their identity, address, and household size. All guests must physically bring this information to the FOCUS Food Pantry.
Acceptable forms of identification and proof of address include:

Identification:
At least 1 form of the following must be presented for every adult member in the household.
Driver’s License or other government-issued photo ID (Green Card, Non-Driver’s License, Naturalization Certificate, Benefits Card)
Proof of address:
At least 1 form of proof of address must be presented for every adult member in the household.
Acceptable forms of proof of address include:
A lease agreement or statement from the landlord.
A utility, phone, or cable bill within the last 60 days.
A paystub with the address within the last 60 days.
A letter from Department of Social Services, Medicaid or Social Security, within the last 60 days.
A bank statement within the last 60 days.

At least 1 form of the following must be presented for every child or dependent in the household.
School records, with address and name of child/dependent listed (Report Card or other official correspondence from school), within the last 90 days.
Medical Records, with address and name of child/dependent listed, and within the last 90 days.
Department of Social Services record, with address and name of child/dependent listed, within the last 90 days.
Social Security statement, with address and name of child/dependent listed, within the last 90 days.
Benefits Card (Department of Social Security, Medicaid, Insurance), with the address and name of the child/dependent listed, and is not expired.
